JULIANNA THE PSYCHIC

San Pablo Ave @ Solano, Albany • 558-6900

OPEN UNTIL: 1AM (”Walk-ins welcome!”)

NOTE: I need to get a picture of the real sign. It’s above a nail shop I think. All I could really find on her was a “flagged-for-removal” posting on Craigslist in which the cached page mentioned a “gift from God” and an “85%-90% reading accuracy.” I wonder how she measures it?

REVIEWS: yelp

NOTE: My desire to avoid stagnant water and its related health issues precludes me from giving you a first person account of this joint. However, I’d like to point out a glaring discrepancy between yelp reviews and pictures on The Hot Tubs website.  Either you believe in the pretty photos (which could be stock images and/or outdated) or the online allegations of sanitation and temperature control problems. Roll the dice.

Oaks Club Oaks Club

OAKS CARD CLUB

4097 San Pablo Abe, Emeryville • 653-4456

You may deduce that at the Oaks Card Club, you can play poker, Pai Gow, and blackjack, but did you know you can also eat hamburgers, Chinese, breakfast, and Hofbrau style sandwiches (but hopefully not at the same time)? Wash it all down with something from the bar. Then go back and blow some more money you don’t even have.
